On Monday night, a driver engaged in a high-speed chase has not yet been apprehended.
The chase occurred during Monday's evening commute from Lafayette to San Francisco.
The driver that was being pursued "exhibited extraordinarily erratic and unsafe behavior," according to California Highway Patrol officers, during the pursuit.
The vehicle appeared to clip a bicyclist in Oakland at one point.
The vehicle continued driving and the bicyclist seemed to be unharmed.
Law enforcement eventually called off the chase in Richmond because they deemed the conditions to be too risky.
They didn't explain why they started chasing the vehicle in the first place.
