Golden State Warriors head coach, Steve Kerr, made a passionate call for action after another mass shooting at an elementary school in Texas claimed the lives of 18 children and 2 adults.
Officials say an 18-year-old shooter fatally shot 18 children and two adults at a Texas elementary school on Tuesday before being slain by police.
According to three law enforcement sources, the shooter, Salvador Ramos of Uvalde, shot his grandmother before traveling to the school, according to Texas officials. According to information provided to state Sen. Roland Gutierrez by the Texas Rangers, the grandma was airlifted to San Antonio and "is still holding on."
Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Police Chief Pete Arredondo believes the gunman acted alone.
The attack was the bloodiest at an elementary school since the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut in 2012, which killed 26 people, including 20 children aged 6 to 7.
