We will also get a number of stories told by other friends and family members, who've worked closely with him. Some of the celebrity friends who will be featured in the doc will be Ice Cube, Roxanne Shante, Bootsy Collins, and more. The film director Sacha Jenkins said, "Our aim was to create a balanced portrait of a brilliant artist who both chased his dreams and was stalked by more than a few demons. Still, his influence on funk and popular music and culture is unparalleled, and his eventual rise to the top is easily more compelling than any freebase rush." Man, I wish Charlie Murphy was still here, so that he can tell the funny stories from "The Chappelle Show" of their friendship.
