WARNING! Do Not Swim In Lake Michigan! The National Weather Service issued a warning against swimming in the lake from today until Saturday morning. The NWS says there are strong winds and threatening currents that are causing waves of 3 feet to 6 feet close to the shoreline. So far this year 14 people have drowned in the lake, so be careful if you go down to the lakefront for the 4th July weekend. They have issued this statement for North Beach in Port Washington, McKinley, Grant Park, Bradford beaches in Milwaukee, Wind Point Lighthouse Beach, North Beach in Racine, and Simmons Island Beach in Kenosha. Have a great holiday weekend and just be safe!
