Today, it was announced former NBA player Steve Nash will be the new head coach for the Brooklyn Nets. Although I like Steve Nash as a player and as a person, I agree with Stephen A. Smith. On today's episode of "First Take", Stephen pointed out that many qualified coaches, who've had prior coaching experience, applied for the job, but instead the Nets chose Steve Nash. Stephen explained, "This does not happen for a black man. No experience whatsoever? On any level as a coach? And you get the Brooklyn Nets job? This is white privilege." This is not about Steve Nash's capable to coach a team. It's about pointing out the privilege one can have based off their skin color. Again Congratulations to Steve Nash. He'll be a great coach.
