I remember being in my old box Grand Marquis, middle of Summer, in traffic by Midtown, blaring OJ DaJuiceman’s music. What-a time to be alive. My homegirl getting out the car and twerking on the hoods of cars and headlights before that became a song lyric. Shout out to Tiara.
I wondered why he fell off but it was mainly the result of the Brick Squad ultimately falling apart and everyone going their separate ways. Because of that, he lost his major co sign and platform. Apparently, he is still booked and busy, doing very small shows and venues. Us awaiting him to go mainstream again may be postponed even longer because it’s being alleged that he was caught waving a handgun, not once, but twice, at officers while ensuing a pursuit. However, a woman came forward and explained that OJ had put a rental in his name for her and that she let another gentleman drive the vehicle, which would let the rapper off the hook from his potential ten year bid. We shall see how this goes but I’m rooting for him and hoping that he wasn’t goofy enough to point a gun at an officer when they kill people everyday for far less. 😔
