Nike already said that they had nothing to do with Lil Nas X’s “Satan Shoes,” but they went one step further and filed a law suit yesterday. They sued MSCHF for federal trademark infringement. They did NOT name LNX as a defendant in the case. As we told you, the shoes are a reconstructed version of the Nike Air Max 97s. They had to re-do the shoes, to provide them with the that satanic glow, they’re decorated with a pentagram pendant, a drop of human blood in the sole, who does that? and a reference to Luke 10:18, a bible verse about Satan’s fall from heaven. Just so you know, all 666 pairs of the modified or reconstructed Nikes, priced at $1,018, sold out in one minute after they went on sale Monday.

Lil Nas X responded to the lawsuit Nike filed against the company that made his Satan shoes. The “Old Town Road” star took to Twitter and shared a few posts that seemingly address his thoughts on the legal issues. “I’ll be honest all this backlash is putting an emotional toll on me,” he wrote. “I try to cover it with humor, but it’s getting hard. My anxiety is higher than ever and stream ‘Call Me By Your Name’ on all platforms now!” In a second tweet, he shared a short clip of the character Squidward from the cartoon "Sponge Bob Square Pants" sitting in a box and begging people for spare change. Hey truth be told he's a different type of guy, do you think his moves with his latest project are career ending or what? I just think of all the kids and parents that took to him with his old town road record, and I feel like he may be blowing them off, remember he did write a children's book? The question is have you seen his latest video?
