Hip-Hop continues to evolve each year as more fresh acts emerge from all around the world, and 2026 is no different.

We've witnessed a plethora of new voices dominate the rap game from its birthplace in New York to the West Coast and the Southern states. Artists like Belly Gang Kushington and YKNIECE have taken over the airwaves with their respective hits and their own collaboration. I mean, if you haven't heard "Friend Do" (Remix) on the radio or in the clubs, then are you really paying attention? Meanwhile, the genre has sparked an entirely new movement across the pond in the U.K.

The U.K. drill scene has produced a few notable acts that have captivated rap fans everywhere. Within the past year alone, we've heard multiple viral tracks by rappers like fakemink and EsDeeKid. The mysterious rapper recently garnered millions of views on his "4 Raws" (Remix) music video after actor Timothée Chalamet hopped on the song to shut down the conspiracy theory that they were the same person. We never thought that Hip-Hop would take it this far, right?

These new artists had plenty of big moments last year, and we're confident that they'll continue to make noise in 2026. Scroll below to discover 20 rising Hip-Hop artists you need to know in the new year.

Chris Patrick

Chris Patrick has been rapping for well over a decade, but he’s spent the past three years rising through the ranks as one of the most conscious lyricists of the 2020s. The New Jersey native struck gold last year with his breakthrough Pray 4 Me with songs like “Huncho’s Prayer” and “Frankenstein” with MarcoPlus. His authentic rhymes and energetic flows have resonated with fans of all ages and garnered co-signs from veterans like Black Thought and current all-stars like JID, who tapped him as an opener for his “God Does Love Paradise Tour.” Chris Patrick is still pushing Pray 4 Me, but for now, he’s relishing in the dreams he manifested six years ago, from billboard appearances to soundtrack placements. Catch his track “Alley Oop” in the upcoming film, GOAT.

EsDeeKid

EsDeeKid might not be in mainstream rotations yet, but give him just a minute or two of your time, and he might become your new favorite artist. The British spitta from Liverpool has been carving his own path in the UK drill scene. His ominous demeanor and grimy flows on songs like "Phantom" and "5am" from his breakthrough album Rebel have elevated him from mythical artist to prominent MC in less than a year. His masked persona has kept his true identity a mystery — so much so that conspiracy theorists believed he was actually actor Timothée Chalamet. Those rumors came crashing down late last year when the two teamed up for the "4 Raws (Remix)," which put EsDeeKid on an even higher pedestal. While fans still don't know his real name, EsDeeKid continues to attract millions of followers and rack up even more streams.

OsamaSon

In an era where bass and distortion run rampant in Gen Z playlists, OsamaSon has become a popular voice. For the past five years, the South Carolina native has churned out music that rage-aholic, festival addicts have come to love including "Cts-V" and "X & Sex" from his debut album Osama Season. Once he signed to Atlantic Records in 2023, Osama dropped his second LP Flex Musix, which set the standard for his career. Since he's not big on collaborations, it's a big deal whenever Osama does join forces with another artist from his joint album with Glokk40Spaz 3vil Reflection to "Withdrawals" featuring Nettspend. In 2025, OsamaSon kept his momentum going with his third LP Jump Out and his latest project psykotic with tracks like "Worldwide" and "FMJ" with Che.

Che

Speaking of Che, the Atlanta native is another rapper who's guaranteed to make noise in 2026. The Atlanta native came up under a couple of aliases before he signed to 10K Projects in 2023. He truly began to garner attention following the release of his debut mixtape Closed Captions, featuring his hit "Blac Chyna." His Chief Keef-like flows over distorted bass and energetic synths attracted a fanbase as young as North West and as old as Trippie Redd. Following the release of his debut album Sayso Says in 2024, Che kept his momentum going with his sophomore LP Rest In Bass. The project contains collaborations with fellow newcomers OsamaSon, Xaviersobased and Chuckyy, who've all emerged from the underground within the past few years. There's no doubt that the game will keep its eye on Che as he continues to rise within the ranks.

Kai Ca$h

Kai Ca$h has spent nearly a decade making a name for himself in New York City, but now his music, videos, and book have made their way all around the country. The rapper-author has collaborated with a plethora of artists from underground phenoms like Niko Brim to superstars like Pusha T and Chris Brown. Following the success of his hit "The West," Kai has dropped stand-out albums like 711 Anniver$ary to his latest LP, Cash Rules. If his music isn't enough to hook fans in, then Kai's debut book, “Tranquil: Overcoming the Experience," should do the trick. In it, he details his battle with anxiety and how he handled it during his journey as an artist. It's not clear what Kai has in store for 2026, but whatever it is, we're here for it.

YKNIECE

If there's one lady who's had a stellar breakthrough year, it's YKNIECE. The 22-year-old has managed to appear on nearly every major strip club record of 2025 from Metro Boomin's "Take Me Thru Dere" to Belly Gang Kushington's "Friend Do." Since she appeared on her friend Pluto's "Whim Whammie," YKNIECE has become a fixture in the South with an enticing voice and commanding demeanor. She will take control of a record and make it hers, no matter who's on the track. YKNIECE has managed to make a major impact on the game with no album out. Hopefully, that will change in 2026.

PLUTO

PLUTO is another force not to be reckoned with. Following the success of "Whim Whammie," the Atlanta bombshell followed up with an impressive debut album PLUTO WORLD featuring some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop, including YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Sexyy Red, Nardo Wick, Quavo and more. It's only been a few months since the album dropped, but PLUTO has all the time in the world to follow up with her next big hit. Hopefully, she will have even more success in 2026.

JayDon

Let's slow it down real quick. In the digital age of hip-hop, it's rare to find an artist who can act, dance, sing, and be down with all the rappers. Enter JD McCrary a.k.a. JayDon. After getting his start as an actor, McCrary made his singing debut on Childish Gambino's "Terrified" at just nine years old. Fast-forward to 2018, McCrary released his debut single, "Inviting All of You" and landed the role of young Simba in Disney's The Lion King live-action remake. Since signing with Usher's Mega label, the now 18-year-old singer has garnered millions of followers for songs like "Lullaby" and has collaborated with Usher, 310babii, Zeddy Will and more. He just dropped his debut mixtape Me My Songs & I back in October, but he's just getting started. Earlier this month, JayDon hit the ground running with his newest single "Run It Up" in which he serves up a quick verse with some smooth vocals. It's just a brief offering of what he's cooking up for 2026.

Dina Ayada

Dina Ayada is a Moroccan singer with a lot of swag. Although she was raised in Belgium, the 22-year-old singer-rapper has made an impact on the game with her unique flows and hip-hop-influenced bangers from her "Speed It Up" featuring DC The Don to the smooth vocals she serves up on "There's A Way" with KayCyy from her 2024 EP The Script. Ayada has yet to loose momentum since she first broke out on the scene in 2020. She kicked off the new year by dropping her debut album IDENTITY. The project holds 11 tracks including her stand-out singles "problems" and "no rush" featuring Gunna. In the everchanging landscape of hip-hop, Dina Ayada is proving that she has a bright future ahead of her.

BunnaB

BunnaB is another impressive woman who's on her way to the top of rap's food chain. The 22-year-old out of Atlanta has consistently served up bangers that the ladies can bounce to, from "Innit" with YKNIECE to "Hoes Be Mad" with Cash Cobain. BunnaB came through swinging all throughout 2025 with hits from her debut project, Ice Cream Summer, and kept them coming with the deluxe version. She continued to throw bows on her most recent project Sweet Lick with energetic tracks like "Eatcha Beatcha" and fun anthems like "LMAO." Her lively verses attracted legends like Jermaine Dupri and Metro Boomin, who placed her on their respective albums last year. There's no sign that she's slowing down either. She already dropped her first single of the year, "SEEUMSAYIN," and has plenty more in store.

wolfacejoeyy

wolfacejoeyy is one of the most consistent artists to come out of the tri-state area. Over the past five years, the rapper, singer, and producer, born Joseph Badejo, has founded the rap game with his unique music that fuses hip-hop, New York drill, Jersey club music and R&B. He gained notoriety with "Shake It" off his debut EP All Your Fault in 2022 and never looked back. Since then, wolfacejoeyy has hit major stages from Powerhouse in New York City to Rolling Loud in Miami. He continued to flood the streets last year with fresh hits with his two recent projects, cupid and SUMMERSONGS. He even closed out the year with his latest single "FMB" and the remix featuring Hurricane Wisdom. After his active year, there's no doubt that we'll hear more from wolfacejoeyy in 2026.

Lexa Gates

Lexa Gates has been making music since she was 17. The Nuyorican bombshell is a skilled vocalist and lyricist who can pack a punch over any beat she's given, whether it's a smooth R&B instrumental from albums like Elite Vessel (2024) or hard-hitting joints like "New York To The World" with Fabolous and Jadakiss. The 24-year-old artist just dropped her new album I Am, which is her hardest project yet. Not to lean on comparisons, but songs like "Ight" and "Nothing To Worry About" give off strong Erykah Badu vibes.

Ben Reilly

Ben Reilly has been perfecting his craft for well over a decade, and now it's finally paying off. The New York-born, Atlanta-raised MC, whose name was inspired by Marvel's "Scarlet Spider," first began his career in 2012, but took some time to make himself the best artist he can be. Reilly made his formal debut with his first major project Freelance in 2021, and has served up straight heat ever since. He dropped his previous body of work, Not Your Hero 4 Hire, in 2023, but he's been releasing music consistently over the past two years, including collaborations with Powers Pleasant and Westside Boogie. He's currently hitting up major cities around the country for his "Walk.. Before You Fly! Tour" to support his debut album SAVE!, which dropped in November. Stay tuned for more from Hip-Hop's Scarlet Spider.

iAMLYRIC

Lyric Michelle a.k.a iAMLYRIC had one helluva breakthrough year in 2025. After spending years turning her pain into spoken word poems, the Houston native shared a few freestyles on YouTube before she released her debut single "Broken Barbies." The song instantly grabbed people's attention including Top Dawg President Terrence "Punch" Henderson who immediately took her under his wing. Following the success of "Broken Barbies," iAMLYRIC followed up with "Chaos" featuring Isaiah Rashad. It became the lead single from her first project BLKBRD, which is easily one of the best rap debuts of 2025. iAMLYRIC is currently preparing for some upcoming shows, a book club and other ventures, but we'll be ready when she returns with more new music in 2026.

fakemink

Fakemink has become one of the most notable artists to emerge from London's underground rap scene. The British rapper and producer, born Vincenzo Camille, started his career under the name 9090gate and spent the past seven years perfecting his craft on the mic and behind the boards. He eventually changed his name to fakemink and dropped his first collaboration with EsDeeKid "Tropical Remix" in 2022. The following year, fakemink shared his debut project London's Saviour featuring stand-out tracks like "Celebrity Deathmatch." From there, he flooded the streets with numerous songs like "Easter Pink" and "Shih Tzu" with Xaviersobased). His rare flows and outlandish beat selection began to attract other artists like Drake, who brought him out during his three-night performance at Wireless Fest last year. 2026 is already shaping up to be another great year for fakemink. He recently celebrated his 21st birthday by dropping his latest EP The Boy who cried Terrified with nine fresh songs.

ovrkast.

Ovrkast. is a multifaceted artist you need to know. The Bay Area native has in the game for over a decade but got his start in the music industry as a producer. After getting co-signs from Pete Rock and producing for Earl Sweatshirt, ovrkast. hopped on the mic and dropped his debut mixtape Try Again in 2020. Three years later, the 28-year-old artist had the biggest year of his career. He dropped his EP RESET! and produced two tracks, "Red Button" and "The Shoe Fits," on Drake's For All The Dogs: Scary Hours Edition. It was up from there. Ovrkast. has remained consistent by sharing two more projects, including 2025's While The Iron Is Hot featuring Vince Staples. 2026 is already looking like another busy year for the Oakland rapper. He just dropped his latest track "FREEVERSE" on social media, which sounds like a clue about his next project.

Bushy B

Bushy B is proof that the shelf life of any artist's music can last a lifetime. The Miami native has been dropping mixtapes for a decade under Ice Billion Berg's indie label Live House. In 2017, Bushy B dropped his project W241 featuring Major Nine and Ice Billion Berg. The mixtape holds his hit "Scared," which is a classic Miami banger. Although he's released several other projects since then, Bushy B didn't start gaining mainstream momentum until 2024. The sped-up version of "Scared" took off on TikTok and sparked challenges that entertained the masses around the world. Bushy B took advantage of the viral fame and dropped his most recent album Lifestyle, which boasts an all-star lineup including Flo Rida, Dej Loaf, Kiddo Marv, Major Nine and more. Miami has had plenty of artists come and go, but Bushy B has proven that he'll be around for a long time.

Belly Gang Kushington

If you haven't heard Belly Gang Kushington's music by now, then you're not tapped in at all. The Westside Atlanta native spent five years dropping music before he famously gained notoriety after he shut down I-20 to perform his "4 Shooters Only" freestyle last year. Since then, Belly Gang has become a fixture in trap music and his album The Streets Is Yours solidified that. Songs like "Friend Do" and "U Need 2 Leave" have taken over the airwaves and the strip clubs across the country. The 35-year-old just rocked the stage at Jingle Ball in Atlanta and is set to hit the stage at Rolling Loud USA in Orlando in May. Get familiar now, because after that set, Belly Gang Kushington will be everywhere.

MARCO PLUS

MARCO PLUS is quickly gaining momentum in hip-hop's most prestigious circles. Born in Florida and raised in Atlanta, the 28-year-old rapper's rare lyricism and versatile beat selection have made him a hot commodity in the music industry. Since his debut project PLUS 2 dropped in 2021, MARCO PLUS hit the ground running and released at least one project every year. Following the success of JOINTS with The Smokers Club, Marco struck gold with his past two releases SOLACE (2024) and MARCO PLUS vs. tha Underworld, which dropped last summer. His stand-out collaboration with Smino, "out the way", has put him at the top of the "best new artist" conversation. And he's got plenty more heat where that came from.

Hurricane Wisdom

Hurricane Wisdom has been rapping for most of his life, but he finally got the attention he deserved just a few years ago. After he dropped his debut project, Hurricane Season, the 25-year-old received several co-signs from the likes of FGC Heem and NoCap, who joined him on his sophomore LP, State of Emergency. It was his track "Patience" with NoCap that made fans and the music industry take notice of the Florida native. From there, Hurricane Wisdom kept grinding by sharing more projects like Category 5: The Biggest Hurricane (2023) and Eye of the Storm (2024). 2025 was Hurricane Wisdom's biggest year. He dropped three projects, including The Live Sessions Vol. 1 and Perfect Storm featuring Polo G, Loe Shimmy, Fredo Bang, and more. His viral hit "Drugs Callin'" even sparked a remix with Lil Baby. Now he's kicking into high gear with his first track of 2026, "Paper Cuts, which offers a glimpse at what he's got coming this year.
