Boosie Badazz has decided to criticize Dwyane Wade's decision to support his 12-year-old daughter Zaya, who recently came out as transgender.
In a transphobic video, posted on Instagram, Boosie spoke of Dwyane's recent interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show where he said he was a "proud parent" of a child in the LGBTQ+ community.
"I gotta say something about this sh*t, bro. Dwyane Wade, you gone too f**king far, dawg," the 37-year-old rapper began his explicit rant. "That is a male. A 12-year-old. At 12, they donโt even know what they next meal gon' be. They donโt have sh*t figured out yet. He might meet a woman, anything, at 16 and fall in love with her. But his d*ck be goneโhow he gon'โlike, bruh, you going too far, dawg."
Boosie continued to spew his uninformed, and simply uncalled for comments, saying, "Donโt cut his d*ck off, bruh. Like, bruh, for real, if he gon' be gay, let him be gay." He added, "But donโt cut his d*ck off, bruh. Donโt address him as a woman, dawg. Heโs 12 years old. Heโs not up there yet. He hasnโt made his final decisions yet. Donโt cut his f**king d*ck off, Dwyane Wade, bruh. You f**king trippin', dawg."
It should be noted that Dwyane has at no point indicated that Zaya is receiving gender reassignment surgery.
As previously reported, the retired NBA legend opened up about Zaya's gender identity last week. While promoting his forthcoming ESPN documentary, D Wade: Life Unexpected, on Ellen Dwyane recalled the day his daughter came out as transgender.
โFirst of all, me and my wife Gabrielle Union, we are proud parents of a child in the LGBTQ+ community and we are proud allies as well. We take our roles and responsibilities as parents very seriously. So when our child comes home with a question, our child comes home with an issue, our child comes home with anything, itโs our job as parents to listen to that, to give them the best information we can, to give the best feedback we can," Dwyane told Ellen. "And that doesnโt change because sexuality is now involved in it."
โOnce Zaya, our 12-year-old, came homeโฆ first, Zion. I donโt know if everyone knows, originally named Zion. Zion, born as a boy, came home and said, โHey, so I want to talk to you guys. I think going forward, Iโm ready to live my truth. And I want to be referenced as she and her. Iโd love for you guys to call me Zaya,โโ the proud dad continued. โSo, that was our job to go out and get information, to reach out to every relationship we have. My wife reached out to everybody on the cast of Pose. We just tried to figure out as much information as we [could] to make sure we give our child the best opportunity to be her best self."
Dwyane added, โOnce Zion came home and said โcall me Zayaโ and was ready to take on this, I looked at her and said, โYou are a leader. Itโs our opportunity to allow you to be a voice.โ Right now itโs through us, because sheโs 12 years old, but eventually it will be through her.โ
Following the interview, Gabrielle shared an Instagram video introducing her step-daughter Zaya to the world. "Meet Zaya," she wrote. "She's compassionate, loving, whip smart and we are so proud of her. Itโs Ok to listen to, love & respect your children exactly as they are. Love and light good people."
In the video, Zaya gave advice on being true to one's self and explained the importance of living one's truth even amidst hatred.
