Charlie Wilson Shares Romantic "Forever Valentine" Bruno Mars Collaboration

Valentine's Day just came early, so get ready to feel all the love because Charlie Wilson has shared a romantic new song called "Forever Valentine," and it's co-written and co-produced by Bruno Mars and Grammy-winning producers The Stereotypes.

In "Forever Valentine," Valentine's Day is everyday. Wilsons sings, "One day of the year ain't enough for my baby, no/ One day just ain't right/ So will you be mine? My forever valentine?/ Say you will and make me the happiest man alive/ Baby will you be mine?"

In a statement to Billboard, Wilson explained of "Forever Valentine" and how he ended up working with Bruno Mars, "I've been having so much fun with this record. We talked about the song's vibe for a while, put a chorus down and then didn't see each other for a while. Then we ended up on the road together [both performed at Londonโ€™s Hyde Park Festival in 2018; Wilson also played select dates on the final leg of Mars' 24K Magic World Tour later that year]. We'd sing every day at lunch time as we further hashed out the song."

He added of Mars, "Bruno is a firecracker; high energy like me on the stage. We talk about that all the time as we have a lot of admiration and respect for each other. It's a beautiful thing when two people have that kind of connection. Nothing but great things can come of that."

And on Instagram, Bruno shared of the collab, "The world could use a little love right about now and who better to bring it to you than one of the greatest of all time. Uncle @imcharliewilson. I had the Honor to produce and sing a little background for him with my Broโ€™s @stereotypestv and @dmile85."
