Cardi B's Latest Over-The-Top Courtroom Outfit Featured Feathers & A Train

Cardi B turned her latest courthouse appearance into a legitimate fashion show, arriving in a head-turning ensemble.

On Tuesday (December 10), the "South Of The Border" rapper showed up in style for a hearing that was in regards to her on-going assault case — which stems from a fight at a Queens strip club last August — wearing a large feather hat and a matching feather-enveloped coat, which was equipped with a long (and I mean, long) train that dragged behind her.

Cardi was all smiles when she made the Queen courthouse's steps her runway as adoring fans looked-on nearby, snapping pictures of her.

Despite her flashy entrance, TMZ reports that the hearing was "brief and uneventful," with the next court date being set for January.

The "Writing On The Wall" rapper's gala-ready courthouse look comes months after the lawyer representing the alleged victims in Cardi's case publicly criticized her for her high-fashion courtroom style.

"Cardi treats her trips to the courthouse like a runway show," Joseph Tacopina told the New York Post in July. "Here’s a woman who got indicted by a grand jury with felony charges, and appears to only be concerned about what she’s wearing [...] There’s going to be a 'Come to Jesus' moment with her, because it’s not consistent with someone who’s taking this seriously."

Cardi then called out the attorney on Instagram, posting a series of since-deleted videos, slamming him for being more concerned about what she puts on her body rather than the case at hand. "I don’t dress inappropriate when I go to court. I dress like a young f**king lady," she said. "Where am I supposed to get my suits from H&M? Why are you worried about the way I dress? That just goes to show you that y'all do this sh*t for press,"

The "Press" rapper additionally noted that she's been to court before with no makeup on, "just motherf**kin chapstick."

"You're bothered because the way I dress," Cardi continued. "I cannot control that there's 100 cameras outside every single time I go to court."

"If I was a man, it would not bother you," she added, noting the sexist nature of his comments.

Cardi additionally questioned how the attorney could represent Meek Mill, who is leading the charge for criminal justice reform in the U.S., and then attack her for clothing. "What's crazy is you are a lawyer that represents an artist that's standing up for prison reform, something that I have donated money to because I do believe the system treats unfairly black men and minorities [...] and you motherf**king worried about what a woman is putting on her body when she goes to f**king court. Get the f**k out of here!" she concluded.
