Nick Minaj is getting married!
On Monday (August 12), the 36-year-old rapper confirmed that she will tie the knot in "about 80 days" with her boyfriend Kenneth Petty and she even revealed some details about her wedding. "I have to work on my album and I have a lot to focus on that I don’t want to do the big wedding now. We’ll do the big wedding later,” she said on a radio show.
Nicki added that she and Kenneth recently picked up their marriage license, which puts them on a time crunch to make their union official. "[We] filed for the marriage license and we still had to pick it up and I was traveling, by the time I came back, we had to renew it again. From that time, you have 90 days to get married," she explained. "That was about a week ago, so now I have about 80 days."
"I’ll be married before my album comes out, but will have my wedding after the album comes out. Before the 90 days is over, yes, I will be married," the "Hot Girl Summer" rapper shared. "I'm very very happy about that because my baby makes me so happy."
As previously reported, Nicki and Kenneth picked up their marriage license in Los Angeles on July 29. Witnesses told TMZ they saw the couple, who went public with their relationship in December 2018, at the marriage license bureau window inside the Beverly Hills Courthouse, picking up the paperwork needed to tie the knot.
"Nicki and Kenneth were trying to keep a low profile inside the courthouse as they waited in line at a window that read, 'marriage licenses and ceremony appts. ONLY' and Kenneth paid for the license before they left," TMZ reported.
