Atlanta Mayor Keisha Bottoms Adds T.I. To Transition Team

T.I. is putting his money where his mouth is and we all know how much dough he has.

Besides making heat in the studio, the rapper is also known for being an outspoken figure who speaks out against injustices that the urban community faces in society via his music, social media posts and in interviews. The newly elected mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Bottom, has been one of the millions of people to notice this about T.I., as well. That's why she asked Tip to join her transition team.

“I am grateful to announce this 38-strong transition team. It represents a tremendous amount of diversity and depth, and really the best and the brightest in the city of Atlanta,” Bottoms said during her team's announcement.

Other people who'll consist of Bottom's team are rapper Killer Mike, Ron Clark from the Ron Clark Academy, the CEO and Chairman of UPS, the CEO of Delta Airlines Inc., Raphael Warnock of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and more.

According to Atlanta's channel 2, Bottoms' team will assist her with carrying out "her platform of affordable housing, overhauling the city hall corruption scandal and improving education." The new mayor said: "I really want them to come with fresh ideas, and bring to me their recommendation for best practices for the city of Atlanta. To make sure we attract the best talent in the city and we are forward thinking and not just worried about the issues we are facing today but build a team that can project out for many years in the city."
