The photo above is a picture of students who attend Pittsburgh High School and work for the school's paper in Pittsburgh, KS. I'm SMDH because this group of teens was able to accomplish something that an entire school/school district was unable to do during a hiring process of a new principal. Skeptical of the incoming new Principal they dug deep to find flaws in her credentials. Two of the main concerns were that the University she claimed to have received degrees from ( Corllins University), is an unaccredited, online school. The second was that that the online University also has been caught up in fraud claims which brought her degrees into question. As a result of the pressure from the students discovery the Principal resigned. How and why was her background not verified before being hire?
