This Black History Month fact is in honor of Dr. Mae C. Jemison who is a Doctor, Scientist and Astronaut She became the first African-American female astronaut on June 4th 1987 and then in September of 1992, she flew into space aboard the Endeavour along with six others and became the first African-American woman in space!
