YOUTUBE AWARDS: In the Books
Now that YouTube has become a major force in both music and video consumption, the site has entered the awards business. The first YouTube Music Awards were webcast live tonight (Sunday) from New York, hosted by actor-musician Jason Schwartzman and comedian-musician Reggie Watts. Amid performances by Eminem, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, M.I.A., Tyler the Creator and Avicii, awards were handed out in six categories.
