Since the trailer for their sex tape was released last week, Love and Hip Hop co-stars Mimi Faust and Nikko Smith have been the talk of the town. The full-length edition of the couple's adult film was released today [Monday] at midnight, and according to Vivid Entertainment, it has already surpassed the popularity of the Kim Kardashian sex tape.
With pre-sale numbers totaling about $400,000, Vivid tells TMZ that in just nine hours, it has already sent out over 1200 cease-and-desist letters to websites that had the film available for download or stream. Vivid head honcho Steve Hirsch says, "If you even try to illegally download this tape, we will come after you full force. We have three full-time attorneys prepared and ready to go."
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
- Who in their right mind would pay money to see these two have sex?
- Just downloaded the tape illegally. Come and get me, Steve Hirsch!
- This is all one big publicity stunt. When Love and Hip-Hop premieres, the ratings will be out of this world.
- She may be making a little bank now, but Mimi's not going to get Kim Kardashian treatment after this. No Vogue covers, no wedding specials, no fashion lines...
