Here’s some bad news if you’re planning on traveling this Memorial Day Weekend … You’ll be surrounded by 36.1 million other people with the same idea.
AAA expects 36.1 million people to travel more than 50 miles away from home – up 1.5 percent from last year.
This is the second-highest number of travelers since 2000.
Experts believe this boost in travel is due to a recovering economy – and, of course, a reaction to the long, cold winter many Americans suffered through.
No more winter blues. No more cabin fever. It’s time to hit the road and enjoy the great outdoors – even if you’re not alone out there. (Time)
