You know those lucky numbers printed on the slip of paper inside a fortune cookie? As it turns out, they're actually lucky -- or at least they were for one great-grandmother in New York City.
75-year-old Emma Duvoll of The Bronx is a regular lottery player and decided to give up on using birth dates, ages and anniversaries to choose her numbers. Instead, she used the numbers inside the fortune cookie she got with her Chinese food order and won $2-million in the Powerball. She matched five numbers, but missed the Powerball which would have landed her the $193-million jackpot. She says it's the first time she ever tried playing the fortune cookie numbers. (New York Post)
