in blankstare news: Like Father, Like Son

A Virginia man is behind bars for impersonating a police officer, but not just any police officer – his father.

27-year-old James Michael Puebla Berling wore his father's police uniform and took his patrol car out for a drive. He even turned on the lights and, at one point, fired his gun. He even had a female partner with him driving shotgun.

After receiving reports of shots fired, the real police tracked him down and arrested him and his friend. They're both facing a slew of charges including unauthorized use of a vehicle, reckless handling of a firearm, impersonating an officer and possession of marijuana. Berling's father, officer James Berling, is not expected to receive any disciplinary action. (Examiner)
