Have you ever taken home food from an all-you-can eat buffet? Do you think it should be considered stealing?
An anonymous KFC customer in Nebraska apparently discovered a conscience and sent a letter, along with $2, to the fast food restaurant, apologizing for taking extra chicken home from the buffet. In the letter, the anonymous chicken thief says they accidentally took more chicken than they could eat at the restaurant so instead of throwing it out and wasting it, they brought it home.
The customer admitted that what they did was stealing and wanted to apologize. The manager of the KFC says they often have customers taking food home and it's an ongoing problem, so he appreciates the writer's honesty. He says, "It just makes your faith in people come back a little more. Whoever it was probably doesn’t have a lot of money. To send a couple bucks back to us is pretty remarkable. It’s very touching."
