FOOTBALL: NFL Running Back Retires at 26

NFL running back Rashard Mendenhall has decided to give up his career and a hefty paycheck after only six years in the league. The 26-year-old played last year with the Arizona Cardinals but is better known for his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he twice rushed for a thousand yards.

Two weeks ago, Mendenhall wrote a Huffington Post piece in which he described a religious vision and hinted at his retirement. (Yahoo)
