The rap game is about to get another superstar. Elton John wants to add elements of hip-hop to an upcoming album and hopes to work with some of rap’s top producers.
The 66-year-old icon tells Rolling Stone, “I’d love to. I just don’t know how to do it. I’d have to work with someone who knows about it, like a Pharrell or a Kanye, who I respect tremendously. I’d love to do that.”
Elton has a head start, though -- he worked on “All of the Lights” on Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and he famously collaborated with Eminem for a performance of “Stan” at the 2001 Grammy Awards.
