Is Lil Wayne's Mountain Dew Deal about to go in danger like Rick Ross's Reebok deal?
It will if the family of Emmett Till has its way. That’s because the family of the civil rights icon is still upset that Wayne hasn’t apologized for an offensive reference in an unreleased remix of Future’s “Karate Chop.”
In a statement to AllHipHop, Till’s family members say that “since the rapper has not apologized,” they “intend to pressure Lil' Wayne's sponsors, namely Mountain Dew.”
Just in case Lil Wayne doesn't get the significance of what they're saying, they add, “A similar tactic by women's group UltraViolet resulted in Reebok dropping Rick Ross from their campaign.”
