Kim Kardashian Defends Makeup Artist's Racist Past, Then Apologizes

Kim Kardashian stuck her foot in her mouth when she defended makeup artist Jeffree Star, a man who's known for making racist remarks.

Star publicly criticized Kardashian's KKW makeup swatches. "Umm... Kim what is going on with those new swatches?? Looks like chalk," he tweeted out. That's when Kardashian's fans began slamming Star for his negative words about her product. Unfortunately, the reality TV star took offense to people insulting him.

Kardashian said on Snapchat:  “I see that my fans are totally hating on someone like Jeffree Star for being honest about my struggle swatches. But because of his remarks I’m learning. Guys, like, I see you being so petty, bringing up things in his past where he was negative. But he’s also apologized for those things and I get that it’s a serious deal if you say like racial things but I do believe in people changing and people that apologize, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.” See that below.

Twitter immediately began slamming Kardashian when it saw this video. See reactions below.

After receiving so much backlash, Kardashian has apologized for her defense of Star. She admitted to not knowing as much about his previous comments than she thought. Watch her apology video below.
